I really need to stop looking at Chocolate Covered Katie’s blog. I simply must make everything from it! I’ve never made chocolate, much less vegan chocolate, so I had to try this recipe. Overall, I think it’s very good. My friend (who LOVES chocolate) even gave me a 10/10!
Hot Chocolate Chips (gluten-free)
Or you can make bars!
- 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 4 tablespoons unrefined coconut oil
- 1/4 cup agave or use NuNatural vanilla stevia drops (I use 10 drops. Triple or quadruple that amount if you don’t like extra-bitter chocolate.)
- optional: extracts, cocoa nibs, or other add-ins

Nutritional Info (for 2 T): 100 calories (with the vanilla drops) 10 grams fat 0 grams added sugars
Or, if you make the recipe into bars, each 30g bar will have 100 calories (stevia version) or 140 calories (agave version).
